Default Infusion still needs improving

Even though the developers claimed to make it a once only thing, it still has room for improvement. Infusion should be on the person rather than armor he is wearing.

The reason I say this is a new character upon reaching Iron Mines of Moladune usually doesn't have enough dough to buy the full set of Droknar's Armor and so ends up getting infused with armor that needs to be changed later. So when he replaces the remaining armor parts, he has to re-do the infusion quest or end up getting slaughtered by mursaat.

Since the developers are against unnecessary tedium, such players shouldn't have to go through infusion just because some armor has been changed, when they already completed the original infusion quest.

Make infusion on the person instead of on the armor and the problem is solved.

don't worry about it dude. Once you get to Ring of Fire, there's an infusion seer on every island and no mursaat to be found. Just wait till you get there to buy/equip your new armor and then infuse it there. That's what I plan on doing.

Also, the missions there are generally far easier than the normal "infusion run"

No mursaat at the Ring of Fire? Are you sure?

Isn't Ring of Fire the mission where the dwarf sacrifices his life for you to pull away some of the mursaat at the start of the mission?

Let's see.

You then have to fight some jades and mursaat elems/mesmers.
Then you have the first mursaat tower with four jades.

Nope, I think you will find tons of mursaat from the Iron Mines mission onwards.

I don't think you can make it to the seer without getting through some mursaat. At least the Iron Mines mission, the usual infusion route, allows you to get to the seer without having to face mursaat.

agreed, there are definitely Mursaat at Ring of Fire...What I did was save up for my Droknar's armour before doing the infusion run as I did it when you still had to do the run for each piece of armour and I didn't want to do that 10 times over.

Agreed that it needs to be for person not the armour.

I think there are far worse things worth complaining about.

Infusion isn't as big a deal as people make it out to be. I've done the infusion run with henches easily. And if you're mainly PvP infusion is entirely moot.

People are setting foot outside Droknar's without max AL armour ? Wow. I have to say this thread is one of the most eye-opening I've seen on this forum. I really had no idea people did that.

Overall, I don't see why Infusion shouldn't be for the person rather than the armour, but I don't know if the current game mechanics would make that possible. I don't think it's that big a deal though - it's not like the infusion run is difficult or long as missions go at that stage in the game. And all those giants and trolls on the way make nice farming fodder.
